With their kickoff of the 2012 college football season a week away, the Florida Gators go into their game against Bowling Green without knowing who will start the game at quarterback. The competition is between Jeff Driskel and Jacoby Brissett. Driskell has been nursing a bruised shoulder since August 12 and has yet to be cleared for contact in practice and will be looked at again on Monday.

Will Muschamp said that both QBs will likely see action if Driskel is healthy. Now the question is pretty clear, is there a QB problem brewing in Gainesville? With the season a step away, the Gators have yet to make a call on who will be leading the offense. What does this say about the coaching staff’s perception of Brissett if he hasn’t distanced himself with Driskel missing critical practice time? Should Gator fans be worried, or is Will Muschamp manufacturing question marks as a smokescreen to his opponents? All these questions can only be answered in a real life game.
