Report: Harvey Updyke Admits to Poisoning Trees
Here’s some news that isn’t going to shock the world. According to a report by the Auburn Plainsman, Alabama super fan Harvey Updyke has admitted to poisoning the famous trees at Toomer’s Corner on the campus of Auburn University. Updyke who’s trial began this week, did not admit to the crimes in the court room, but outside by the elevator according to the Auburn Plainsman:
“Did I do it? Yes,” Updyke said outside of an elevator on the second floor of the Lee County Justice Center in Opelika.
“They’re going to find me guilty… it’s a done deal,” Updyke said. “I don’t think I’m going to get a fair trial.”

Updyke also said he wasn’t acting alone, but wouldn’t give details on who he worked with in poisoning the trees. Updyke’s official plea is not guilty.
