It has been reported that former Maryland QB Danny O’Brien was drawing interest from Ole Miss. Now there are reports that Penn State is also talking to the “free agent” QB. The site statecollege.com is reporting that O’Brien made a visit to State College this past weekend and the visit went well.
Last week, Penn State coach Bill O’Brien said Danny O’Brien (no relation) had contacted Penn State and was interested in transferring to the school.

This is not a complete revelation. Many “experts” have said that PSU would be a great fit. O’Brien is scheduled to graduate this Spring and will be able to play in the Fall. He has two years left of eligibility which gives him a longer shelf life than Russell Wilson who left NC State and played one season at Wisconsin. O’Brien is not expected to make a decision until mid-April at the earliest. So far we know Ole Miss and Penn State are on the list. It will also be safe to assume Vanderbilt is on the list too as his former offensive coordinator James Franklin is the head coach of the Commodores.
