With the start of the college football season a whiff of the fresh cut grass away, teams are starting to put their lineups in focus. On Thursday the Auburn Tigers made a decision on who will be the starting QB to start the season. Kiehl Frazier got the nod over Clint Moseley. Frazier will have a huge challenge on September 1 as the Tigers face Clemson in Atlanta to open the season.
Moseley has never fully recovered from a sore shoulder that he suffered from this past spring, making Gene Chizik’s choice to name Frazier more obvious. Last season both Frazier and Moseley had a similar competition to win the starting job and fill in the the void left by Heisman Trophy Winner Cam Newton. Frazier did have a key role to start the season last year as Auburn used the QB in their wildcat formations.
