It’s hard to believe we are into week 3 of the college football season. If we take a quick look at the top teams in the country, two have been by far the most dominant and that’s Alabama and Florida State. Let’s begin with the Noles, they have opened the season scoring 176 points while only allowing 3. That’s not a typo it’s for real. Of course their opponents have been Murray State, Savannah State and Wake Forest. The Crimson Tide have scored 128 points while allowing 14. Their schedule has been a little tougher knocking off Michigan, Western Kentucky and Arkansas.
On the surface clearly the Tide will hold onto the Number one spot in the polls this week. Their 52-0 dismantling of Arkansas on Saturday was embarrassing for Razorback fans. Where’s that time machine to get Bobby Petrino back? Anyways Bama is for real and their schedule doesn’t get any easier. Again, no one in their right mind can argue against Alabama being the best team in the country. That said FSU is making it pretty clear that they are a force to be reckoned with too. The Noles should dominate the ACC, with Virginia Tech looking pretty weak so far. Of course the ACC is the kiddie pool in college football, shallow and warm. The SEC is the deep end, cold and scary.
