Each Saturday we are amazed by the things we see gifted student-athletes do on the football field.  From magnificent catches, to eye-popping runs, to improbable comebacks, college football has it all.  But when you break the film down, who are the players who are moving highlight reels on the football field?  Here are the 5 most electric players in college football.

5. Denard Robinson (QB, Michigan) It seems that week after week, year after year, regardless of whether Denard Robinson leads Michigan to a victory or not, he’s making a play that no one thought he could.  From making plays without his shoes on, or turning a would be sack into a 40 yard run, Denard Robinson is certainly electric.

4. De’Anthony Thomas (WR, Oregon) Freshman wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas is a dazzling playmaker.  In his first season, he has emerged as one of the top play makers for the Oregon Ducks and has single handedly taken over games this season.  His play making ability makes him a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball.

3. Alshon Jefferey (WR, South Carolina) One of the most underrated players in college football, Jefferey won’t be underrated when the NFL Draft comes around.  He is a flat out monster on the outside and is virtually unstoppable.  Ask SEC defenses.  Jefferey can score on any play.

2. Tyrann Mathieu (DB, LSU) The nation’s best ballhawk has scored in every way imaginable from the defensive side of the ball.  Mathieu returns kicks, blitzes, causes fumbles, and is the heartbeat of the best defense in the nation.  He makes this list simply because he’s made LSU fans forget about Patrick Peterson.

1. Sammy Watkins (WR, Clemson)  Sammy Watkins has taken the college football world by storm and is just a freshman.  The best freshman in Clemson history, Watkins is Jacoby Ford and CJ Spiller all in one.  The attention he receives from defenses allows his other teammates to make huge plays, as well.  He’s the most electric player in college football.

As a highly involved sports fan, I use my legal background to make well informed commentary about the teams you love. Good luck arguing with me, unless it's about Florida State, then my passion ignites and logic disappears.
